Another rant I'm afraid, lol. I'm sure this subject has been done to death already though I couldn't find a similar title.

I'm not interested in a long distance relationship. I've made that pretty clear on my profile and will politely but firmly point it out to anyone who instigates chat or email.

It's nothing personal against anyone as an individual; it's just not going to work for ME. And I don't want penfiends or the equivalent online version. I already have real friends all over th  more...

I can understand where you're coming from, but I have heard of men and women relocating to be closer to a person they're interested in. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

Me? I would love a guy in the military. That way he's not ALWAYS around, and goes away just long enough so that when he comes home the passion is still there. Often for me in past relationships I get smothered and don't like it. LDR's are okay as long as they are not across the pond so to speak. A hundred mi  more...

Even though the LDR has worked for some of us, more power to you, Biirdy, for knowing what will and will NOT work for you. Just goes to show, lots of the folks on here, men in particular, just DON'T read the profiles!! :P

I'm with you Island girl. No LDR's for me, either. It's so difficult for me to try to keep up a relationship locally, let alone long distance. I think you have to put so much more into it (emotionally) than when the person is a local. I feel too invested, too soon.--True
