I need help. As a SSBBW I find it very hard to get seat belts to fit me. I am fine when I ride the city but, don't need one. The seat belts in the cabs fit me, so I am OK there. My problem is that when I ride with friends or colleagues I never know if I am going to be able to wear the seat belt. It is embarrassing when I go to lunch with friends from work and the seat belt light wont go off, so the driver has to ask who didn't buckle up. UGHHHH!!!! It is down right scary to ride with some  more...

hey i can teach all of yall a secret about the seat belt thing. before you get in the car either to drive or ride in the front.buckle the seat belt then get in seating on the bottom strap that goes across your belly and you can also bring the top strap over your head and bring it forward. this way it always looks like you are waring the seat belt and buzzers will not go off. and if you drive and it is your car you can just leave it that way and when you get in and out just bring it over you head  more...

I have purchased seat belt extenders from Ford and Chrysler. Call your dealer, and they are easy to use too. keep it with you, folds neatly into purse or bag.

Hi Kewtweety,
Oh I so understand where you are coming from. I carried a lot more weight than I am now and would feel like just dying when I found myself in similar situations.
I too used to wonder if there was anything like that available?
I'm sorry I dont know and cant help you, but do hope that someone else here does.
Just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. xxx

There are seat belt extenders for sale on ebay. I have one for airplanes but not cars. I would look around on there but I don't think there is a universal one for cars. Good Luck!

Yes there are seatbelt extenders that will travel with you. I got mine from my car dealer, and for free. My advise would be to check with your car dealer for one. They do come in 2 sizes. Good luck.
