I am new to this site. Can someone enlighten me as to why a man would post a picture of himself looking like he just crawled out of bed? What I mean by that is a profile picture of themselves sitting in front of their computer without a shirt on and hair messed up?

Frankly, I wouldn't want to know that someone I was interested in for a LTR had been seen shirtless by thousands of anonymous members. Some things I want to keep private for just us, you know?

What cracks me up is pics with various things going on in the background! LOL dirty dishes,clutter,...etc.. I must admit I do like a guy that cleans up for a pic, but some of them look sexy when they "just crawl outta bed" just depends on the guy. Dirty and bed rumpled is two different things...lol

Not only that, but I have seen a lot of pics that have a date stamp on them that is years old. One was from 2003! Surely you can come up with something newer than that :)

I'm with you, Olivia. I also don't get the pics of kids, cars and pets. And while I'm at it - and no offense to anyone with a suggestive screen name, but do people really respond favorably to those whose screen names are very sexual in nature? Big turn off to me, and I don't think I'm a prude.

Personally, I don't care HOW well someone "cleans up". I want a man that is respectable in his presentation to the world. When meeting / dating appearances should always be "best foot forward", so that's a given. My impression of a profile is VERY important to me. I prefer to rely on my instincts, and my instincts tell me that if a man does not care how he looks to other women, that he will not care much how he treats me. Good luck to all--True

I sorta like those kind of pictures, it says this is me, so except it or reject it. Believe me most of those guys with the below average pictures clean up real nice.............really nice.

I like the shirtless, sleep rumpled look. However, I don't think it is the best choice for a main photo- or perhaps any of the profile photos. Our profiles are often our only chance to engage someone's interest. To some people that sort of photo may say "I don't care how I look- this isn't worth my effort" or " I want sexxx" when they really might want say "I'm so huggable like a big squishy, fuzzy kitty!" Um, sorry. I must be experiencing some sort of hug deficiency, lol :)

Lol, I might enjoy a peek but I wouldn't be able to take them seriously. Chances are if their own physique is so important to them they're gonna be seriously disappointed when they see mine!
I can just about accept a shirtless pic if it's on the beach, poolside or similar, but indoors? Just comes across as seedy to me!
I guess it depends on what an individual is looking for whether male or female. My instincts tell me if they can't keep their own clothes on, chances are their main focus isn't going to be having deep and meaningful conversation...... :)
